Since the latest Arthur Grey book takes us to the Mediterranean, I thought it'd be cool to focus my posts on my own trip there. On a tour I took, the guide assured us that there are no lions in Greece and there probably never have been. But strangely enough, lions are very present in the ancient artwork there. Visiting Knossos

The ancient city of Knossos (pronounced k-NOHS-sohs on Crete) was rediscovered by Sir Arthur Evans in the early 1900s. He found amazing pieces of art and pottery in the maze-like city. But what Knossos is probably most famous for is the legend of the Minotaur. I was lucky enough to visit the ruin of Knossos.
