Title: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Ugly Truth
Author: Jeff Kinney
Rating:  4 stars
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Ugly Truth is [reading level] 5.5 but it seems way easier. It is about Greg Heffly trying to get through middle school without his best friend Rowley who he ditches in past books.
This time he faces boy girl parties and puberty videos. He also has to go to a new dentist because his mom goes back to school and his dad has to take him to the dentist. He drives right past tender hugs and goes to some old guy dentist who is a little creepy.
I recommend this book to people who have nothing else to read. because it is not the best book in the world. What I like about this book is that you can make connections to what he is talking about like homework and parents and stuff like that.

Title:  Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth
Author:  Jeff Kinney
Rating:  5 stars
So far, Greg has been looking for a friend. Ever since Rowley and Greg haven’t been friends, Greg and Rowley have been trying all these different kids or maybe even teenagers to see if they can make good friends or not. Everytime they seem to be good friends, actually they are either jerks or nerds!
I really like it when they are looking for friends. I also like it when they try to do little kid stuff but always get kicked out. But it is really awesome when they go over the rules in their house like one of them is really weird!
I recommend this book to me because I sometimes have problems with getting new friends, and also have problems with school. I also have some pretty weird rules in my house too.

Title: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules
Author: Jeff Kinney
Rating: 5 stars
This book is about a kid named Greg Heffly, a kid in middle school. This summer his dad is making him go to swimming practice which he would rather go on a summer vacation. But he’s really jealous because his friend Rowley gets to go to all these different countries.
I really like it when he tries to do other stuff to get home instead of riding in his brother Rodrick’s van. I also like it when he tries to skip swimming lessons. I love it when Greg tries to brag to Rowley that when he was gone he was having a blast.
I recommend this book to me and my brother Talan because we always brag about all the fun we have. But we didn’t really have a blast this summer. But he and I are kind of wimpy.

Title: Dork Diaries: Tales From a Not So Talented pop Star
Author: Rachel Renėe Russell
Rating: 4 stars
Dork Diaries is about a girl named Nikki. Nikki lives in an ordinary home with wired parents. However she gets a tuition bill. She is forced to enter the school talent show. Nikki then faces her biggest competition: Mackenzie Hollister. Later in the book she finds the truth on the bill. The question is, can she survive middle school?
I like this book. It catches my attention with the text message writing. My favorite part is when Nikki finds the truth on the bill. One other part is when she faces her true love. These are my favorite parts!
I recommend this book to young people who like romance and drama. Why I say people who like romance and drama is Nikki finds out if her true love wants her. And drama because she faces being bullied and drama is throughout this whole book. This book is good.

Title: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw
Author: Jeff Kinney
Rating: 4 stars
The Diary of a Wimpy Kid: the Last Straw is 5.4 but it should be less then that. The reason is that it is super easy to read. The reason being is because it has no hard words. The hardest word is……none! There are two kids named Greg the skinny and Rowley the big guy. A funny part in the book is that Greg’s dad is putting pictures up of Susan the mom working out and the dad printed two pictures of her in the outfit and did before and after. Another funny scene is the Valentines card passing thing. He is saying mean stuff.
What I disliked was the level, it was surprising to me. I pulled it out then I was like, whoa that’s weird, what level it is. That is why you should read this!
