Fauns? Oh, bee-hive!

Besides lions, there are plenty of other amazing sights to see around Greece. One is the ancient and NOT reconstructed beehive tomb that might've belonged to King Agamemnon. This round tomb has a huge stone above the doorway and no one knows how the builders got it there when it weighs about as much as a 747 airplane! The next photo is not ancient, but it's still cool. In one hotel I stayed, they had a chess set with fauns, centaurs, and gods as the pieces. And they knew how awesome this set ...

No lions here…?

Since the latest Arthur Grey book takes us to the Mediterranean, I thought it'd be cool to focus my posts on my own trip there. On a tour I took, the guide assured us that there are no lions in Greece and there probably never have been. But strangely enough, lions are very present in the ancient artwork there.
